The Pure Standard
Most companies today use the words "Natural" or "All-Natural", but the truth is, there's no clear rule for what those words actually mean.
In Canada, a product can include synthetic colours, artificial fragrance, or lab-made additives and still call itself :Natural".
At Purely Pampered Essentials, we believe nature should never need fine print. When we say "All-Natural", we mean every single ingredient comes from the earth - pure plant oils, clays, and botanicals, blended with essential oils that are distilled from real plants. Nothing more. Nothing less.
Understanding the Difference:
Many ingredients sound natural but are not. Here are a few common examples you will see on product labels:
- Fragrance/Parfum/Aroma: Synthetic scent blends made in a lab.
- Mica/Pigment/FD&C colour: Minerals coated or mixed with synthetic dyes.
- Fragrance oil with essential oil blend: Mostly synthetic fragrance with a small amount of real oil.
- Sodium Palmate/Sodium Cocoate: Industrial soap base ingredients often processed with chemicals.
- Colourants (CI numbers or "lake" dyes): coded colour additives such as CI77019 or CI77891
- Titanium Dioxide: Highly processed white pigment, not truly natural
- Phenoxyethanol: Synthetic preservative found in many "Clean" or "Natural" products
- Sodium Laury Sulfate (SLS)/Sodium Laureth Sulfate(SLES):Chemical foaming agents
If every word on a label sounds like something you could find in a garden, kitchen, or apothecary-its natural.
If it reads like something from a lab- its not natural.
Our Promise is simple:
We never use the red flags to watch out for - only the green ingredients you can trust.

Transparency is luxury. When you know what's in your products, you can trust what's on your skin.
Why it Matters:
Our goal isn't to criticize anyone - its to educate and empower. When you understand what "Natural" truly means, you can make choices that align with your values and your wellbeing.
Why Premium Ingredients Matter:
Most soaps start with inexpensive base oils like palm or olive oil because they are cheap and easy to mass-produce. We start with skincare-grade butters and oils - mango, shea, grapeseed, and castor - the same ingredients used in high-end facial creams and serums.
These ingredients cost more, but they give more:
- a richer, creamer lather that cushions and hydrates the skin
- Vitamins and antioxidants that nourish instead of strip
- a long-lasting, balanced bar that feels like skincare - not detergent
That's what sets purely Pampered Essentials apart. We don't make soap to be the cheapest on the shelf - we make it to be the purest and most skin-loving in your home.
The Pure Difference:
Most soaps:
- Made with palm or olive oil - low-cost fillers that dry the skin.
- Use micas and dyes for colour.
- Produced quickly in bulk using industrial methods.
Purely Pampered Essentials:
- Crafted with mango and shea butters - rich, moisturizing, and gentle.
- Scented only with pure, plant-distilled essential oils.
- Coloured naturally with clays, roots, and botanicals.
- Hand-poured in small batches and cured for 4 weeks for lasting quality.
Luxury isn't a scent-its the integrity of every ingredient.
